My heart has always felt most fulfilled when assisting those experiencing hardships. After completing my National Diploma in Journalism and working as a journalist, my work life took a new path into the field of customer service with a financial institution.
It was within this time that I completed my BCom degree, specialising in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. I turned onto a new path and spent the last 15 years working with employee wellness, within a franchised business. During this time, I completed my BCom Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. I felt a constant calling to pursue my passion of listening and helping people thus I completed the Introduction to Counselling and Practical Counselling Modules with Counselling Matters Training.
I completed my practical hours in counselling with an educational institution – focusing on individual counselling, relationships and trauma related counselling as well as family counselling, life and career coaching and academic related study plans. I furthered my appetite for learning with fundamental modules in trauma, family and couples counselling. Apart from counselling, I am also engaged in mentoring student counsellors, supervision and presenting workshops on relationships for educational institutions.
As mentioned, I am listed with the ASCHP as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor (SWC23/2090 ), I am a wife, a daughter, sister, aunt and friend which allows me an in-depth understanding into my client’s life stories as well their difficulties.
